Compare the total cost and the work included, rather than the headline fee alone. A full property management service and remote systems support can cover very different responsibilities.

Compare on the same basis

• Ask what the percentage is charged on: accommodation revenue, cleaning fees or other amounts.
• Check whether quoted prices include GST.
• List onboarding, software, payment-processing, cleaning and maintenance charges separately.
• Confirm who handles urgent guest issues and on-site visits.

A worked example

At an illustrative $6,000 monthly revenue, a 15% fee is $900 before GST, or $1,035 including GST.
